  • What should I wear?
Come as you are! We encourage patients to dress to their comfort. However, we ask you please wear unrestrictive clothing that allows for full range of motion.
  • What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a system of conservative and integrative medicine based on the diagnosis and treatment of dysfunction within the joints of the body, which are held to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves (nervous system) and muscles (muscular system) within the body. Chiropractic is a form of manual therapy that uses a variety of techniques including spinal manipulation (applying a thrust to a joint to facilitate healing and restoration of joint function), joint mobilization (no thrust involved), soft tissue techniques (massage, cupping, acupressure, and scraping), stretching, exercise prescription and nutritional counseling.
  • What techniques do you use?
Every patient's treatment plan is different and specific for their chief complaint and personal functional goals. You are the boss of your health and we will only perform treatments that you are comfortable with. We have been trained in many chiropractic techniques. We may utilize a variety of adjusting techniques throughout your care depending on each specific patient's case and what technique will be best for that individual's health and goals. Some chiropractic techniques we are trained in include: Diversified, Flexion Distraction, Manual Mobilization, Gonstead, Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), and more. We have also been trained in multiple soft tissue techniques including acupressure, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, sport massage, active release and more.
  • Will I crack or pop during my treatment?
Sometimes, but that is not the goal. We are known for our gentle and precise adjustments. Our mission is to increase your body's ability to adapt and function properly.
  • Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance at Pre-Form Movement Center because we do not want insurance telling us what we can and cannot do for our community. In general, insurance companies are not focused on preventative or proactive health services. They were designed for quick, short-term symptom and disease care and treatment which is heavily invested in treating sickness and not optimizing one's total health and function. The great news is that by not having to deal with insurance companies, office costs are kept down, so we can offer affordable care for the whole family. We will gladly provide you with the necessary documentation to get reimbursed if you are willing to file yourself. We always welcome open and honest conversations about finances. We are here to serve you and will do all that we can to help.
  • Medicare Policy?
If you are a Medicare beneficiary, you understand that our licensed chiropractors are not enrolled as Medicare providers. Medicare has numerous technical and administrative requirements that must be met for services to be considered medically necessary covered benefits. We believe those requirements take unnecessary time away from the services we provide. Since we are not enrolled providers, we cannot submit claims as Medicare and Medicare will not pay for our services even though the same services might be paid by Medicare if you obtained them from a Medicare enrolled provider. Therefore, by choosing our services, you are exercising your right to privacy and electing, of your own free will, not to use Medicare benefits. As such, you are agreeing to pay cash at the time of service for all services you elect to receive with us with no expectation that Medicare will reimburse you. You understand that we will not submit claims to Medicare on your behalf or provide you with a statement or billing codes that you can submit to Medicare yourself. If you want Medicare to pay for services that might be considered covered benefits, you should seek those services from a Medicare enrolled provider. If you decide at any point after you start services with us that you want Medicare to pay for the services it covers, we will be happy to recommend a Medicare enrolled provider and terminate your services with us. You also understand that since we are not enrolled Medicare providers, our services are not subject to Medicare’s maximum allowable charge. You agree that you, your caregivers, family members, authorized representatives or power of attorney will not, under any circumstance, submit our claims, invoices, receipts or statements to Medicare for reimbursement or to obtain a denial for a Medicare supplemental insurance plan. Even if your Medicare supplemental insurance plan, Medicare Advantage Plan (MAP), or commercial insurance plan will reimburse you for medically necessary services by providers not enrolled with Medicare, we do not provide a letter stating we are not enrolled as a Medicare provider or a statement for submission. These plans often require you to obtain a denial from Medicare before it will pay for your services, but we cannot submit a bill to Medicare merely to get a denial because we are not enrolled providers.
